Alicante is a preferred tourist destination. The Costa Blanca meaning the White Coast is well known for it´s extensive surface area, it covers cities like Benidorm, Javea, Calpe and Denia which are highly visited in the summer peak months. It´s population of a million and a half makes it one of the most populated provinces in all of Spain. Each one is scattered with atleast a distance of 6 kms2, and have fine golden sands, mountains, abrupt areas, cliffs and diverse geographical accidents, like the Segura River, the basis for a large part of the interior municipalities´ economy.
