There are a great concentrarion of pubs and bars in Alicante town centre. In the old town you can find all different types of bars from bars/discos, bars with terraces, reservations only, bars for standing and bars for sitting...
There are a great many bars and pubs that are perfect for starting your night, like Pub el Desden, Baccus, la historia castaños, callejon etc. In the majority of these bars you can find cheap drinks and discounts on the door.
If you want to go and dine in any of the restaurants in Panoramis you could enjoy beforehand a drink in any one of the bars in the same shopping centre. That way you can enjoy fantastic views of the port while you sit and drink. If on the other hand you are thinkong about dining in the town centre the best option is to have a drink in any one of the bars in the old town, rambla or a roundabouts because there is usually more life earlier on in the evening.
Another place close to the Panoramis is the port where you can also start off your night. The is a good variety of bars and pubs but it doesn't tend to get lively until later on at night.
